At first I was leery going to someone that I found on fb that works out of his garage but Matt is the real deal. He knows his bikes and was Very honest in what he needed to do for our 2 bikes and it didn’t cost and arm and a leg. Our bikes ride like new again thanks to Matt. Matt was super kind, honest and very knowledgeable, he even allowed me to hang around, help out and I even learned a few things along the way. Went there today with mine and my wife’s mountain bikes. Rather than doing a “tune up” he fixed only the things that needed repair right in front of me and taught me a few things while he did it. He only charged for the things he repaired. I’d highly recommend him to anyone needing some repairs/things checked out on their bike.

Don't normally do this but I have to give a shoutout to Matt who is basically a bicycle whisperer. He got me in same week and fixed my bike in a matter of minutes, everywhere else I called quoted me a few weeks out and a much higher price. Highly recommended

We had dropped my sons bike off over a month ago at united cycle and never heard back from them. After going in to check on the bike twice we had had enough and got the bike back. We took it to Matt and within ten minutes he had repaired the bike. The quote we had from united cycle was minimum 140. Matt reversed the spindle i had put on backwards shined up the bike and it was good to go. Total bill 15. I gave him a 5 dollar tip for his honesty and speed. Pleasure to deal with. Five out of five for sure.

Brought my bike in for a derailleur adjustment and air fork overhaul.Matt got it all done within a couple hours. When I came to pick it up, bike was cleaned from top to bottom and Matt had tuned the whole bike up free of charge. Bike rides and looks like brand new off the showroom floor. My experience with Matt has been phenomenal. He fined tuned and rebuilt some of the necessary parts and replaced the gear cassette and wheel bearings etc, all of this in just 4 hours. I was Matt's first customer for his $70 bike maintenance crash course which is the same price he charges for a minor bike tune-up. For the crash course he runs you though the minor bike tune-up and you follow along. He shows you what he is doing and is very thorough in his explanations. He would do some work then I would do some and he would check what I was doing. For example he trued the rear wheel and then he had me true the front wheel. I had him work on an early 2000s era Specialized Allez triple road bike that was not shifting properly in both the front and rear derailleur. As he worked on the bike he found problems with the left and right brake-shifters, front derailleur cable, front hub bearing cones, pedal cones, and front and rear derailleur limits. All identified problems were fixed and the bike rides smooth and shifts beautifully. His wife took notes and then he sent a pdf of the work done and part sizes. This was my first experience using Matt's services. Very satisfied and I will definitely be a repeat customer. I took the course the afternoon of Jan 16, 2021.

I dropped off my bike this morning to have Matt look at a problem with my front shock. I was told by many bike stores it couldn't be fixed or it would be really expensive. Matt looked at it for about 5 minutes and said "easy fix". I left the bike and was barely home when he called to say it was ready to pick up. After getting a $500 repair bill from United Cycle, I contacted Matt to see if there was a less expensive way to keep an old but good reliable bicycle running. He had an appointment the next day, and gave me a good breakdown of the bill, letting me know what needed to be done, what could wait, and what he felt was unnecessary. Matt is an amazing bike mechanic ,I phoned around and asked many of Edmonton area bike shops that sell and servicebikes,I got the same old answer of it will be a 1-4 we turnaround for a simple tuneup on my bike,Which is ridiculous ,I gave him a call in hopes of fitting me in for the service so I can continue on pedaling and he was glad to immediately fix my bike no matter what.I had limited hours for the time I could drop the two feet wheeler and literally in 20 min he had it all dialed in.He has all the tools and the knowledge to get a bike working,shifting and running flawless,I highly recommend Matt and his expertise .If people want bicycle repairs done in a timely and fashionable manner without the high prices of the regular old run of the mill bike shops in the Edmonton area. Extremely satisfying and professional service, probably the best bike repair shop in Edmonton with great pricing! Bought in my mountain bike for a major tune up and a lower dropper post service. A few days later I picked up my bike and i was completely blown away by the amazing bike tune up i received! Matt exceeded my expectation in every way. Bike rides super smooth, looks like its brand new and performs like never before. He even fixed my lower dropper post which other bike repair shops have not been able to do before. Big thumbs up!
